The Brave Little Toaster

Directed by Jerry Rees. US. 1987. 6+. 90 min. Disney. DVD.

  • Sat, Oct 15, 2:00 pm

Thinking they’ve been abandoned when their owners go on holiday, a toaster and his friends – the vacuum, radio, lamp and electric blanket – head out to the big city in search of their family. Adventures and perils abound and lead to a thrilling climax in this delightful animated feature. This film was a hit at the Sundance Film Festival in 1988. Starring Jon Lovitz and Phil Hartman. UPDATE 10/13 – we got a call from Disney to say they had made a mistake and the 35mm print they have is not screenable, so we’re now showing this movie on DVD.
