The Exorcist

Directed by William Friedkin. US. 1973. R. 122 min. Warner Bros. 35mm.

  • Sun, Oct 16, 2:00 pm

Heads turn when twelve-year-old Regan MacNeil (Linda Blair) enters a room. Or at least hers does, after her body is taken over by the devil in this horrifying adaptation of William Peter Blattyʼs sensational best-selling novel. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

Directed by Frank Capra. US. 1939. NR. 129 min. Sony. DVD.

Presented by Phoenixville Area Democrats

  • Sun, Oct 16, 7:00 pm

This is a fundraiser for the Phoenixville Area Democrats (Phoenixville Boro, East Pikeland and Schuylkill Townships) to raise funds for Get Out the Vote and Election Day activities. We hope that by combining efforts we can elect more good Democrats to all levels of government. On Sunday October 16th we will be showing Frank Capra’s Mr. Smith Goes to Washington starring Jimmy Stewart at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville. We have also invited all of the County Candidates to attend and mingle with our guests. Confirmed so far are County Commissioner Kathi Cozzone and candidate Sue Bayne, as well as Recorder of Deeds candidate Russ Phifer and District Attorney candidate Sam Stretton. With special guest State Senator Andy Dinniman.

The movie will begin at 7:00. Prior to the movie, at 6:00, there will be a special VIP reception with the candidates upstairs at the Colonial where refreshments will be served.

Tickets are $12.00 for just the movie and $25.00 for the VIP Reception and movie.
