Renting the Colonial
The 658-seat Colonial Theatre AUDITORIUM (pictured above) is available for rental by outside groups on a very limited basis given the busy programming schedule already in place. Priority is given to groups who present programming that is open to the public and reflective of the mission and goals of the Association for the Colonial Theatre (ACT). Rental of the theatre for business meetings, private parties or other events is possible on weekday mornings and afternoons since there is little programming occurring at those times. Other time slots are approved on a case-by-case basis. Base rental rates range from $400 – $1,200 for a four hour rental.
The main auditorium of the Colonial is NOT available for rentals that interfere with our film schedule in January or February. Also, the Colonial is NOT available for rental by music promoters. The Colonial books its music programming with Point Entertainment. Contact Jesse Lundy at jesse at pointentertainment dot com for information on booking concerts at the theatre.
The SCREENING ROOM (pictured below) is available with greater flexibility and is ideal for multimedia presentations, film screenings (digital only, no 35mm), community events, private events, and children’s birthday parties. Capacity for this space is between 50 – 150 people depending on the configuration of seating. Base rental rates range from $75 – $100 per hour. A four hour minimum may be required.
