the colonial theatre marquee

Sep 12 – 18

Man on Wire, begins tomorrow, Fri, Sep 12. It tells the story of Phillippe Petit's tightrope walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center in 1974. Beginning Sep 19 we're screening Transsiberian, a thriller that takes place on, you guessed it, the Trans-Siberian train from Beijing to Moscow. It stars Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrelson, and Ben Kingsley and looks to be another twisty thriller in a similar vein as Tell No One.

Encounters at the End of the World has its last screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30pm.

This Sunday at 2pm the pre-code Hollywood classics continue with Baby Face (1933) starring Barbara Stanwyck (the subject of our classic films this November).

Our Children's Series on Saturdays season begins on Sep 27 at 2pm with Laurel & Hardy in Way Out West. We're also showing two L&H shorts — Brats and Hog Wild. And, we're starting an area tent! (That's L&H speak for fan club). Tickets will be $4 per person — with a money-back guarantee courtesy of film sponsor, Bill Roth!

One last thing — would you like to see your name on our marquee?! Considering sponsoring one of our fall films. More information is on our here.

Thanks for your support and we'll see you at the theatre!
