Aug 28 – Sep 3

The Hurt Locker has its last screening tonight at 7:30PM. Tomorrow (Friday) we start a one week run of Seraphine. Cold Souls starts on Sep 4, The Cove starts on Sep 11, and In the Loop starts on Sep 18.

This Sunday is our last Spiritual Cinema screening sponsored by Wellsprings Congregation. It’s the terrific family film Madagascar (2005) at 2PM.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Children’s Summer Series and helping make it a great success! We had over 600 people here for our last show this past Tuesday! And, if you missed it, don’t worry – John Cassidy will be back on Dec 12. The Children’s Series goes on hiatus for the month of September, but it’ll be back on Saturdays at 2PM starting in October. On the website you will now find the children’s programs under the category Young Audiences; and we’ve added a new category, Teen Audiences, to help the middle and high schoolers find the shows that may interest them more quickly.

Parking update: As we continue to address the parking issues downtown, we’d like to say thank you to the following businesses who have opened up their lots for free parking on nights and weekends: One Bridge Plaza (347 Bridge Street, at Starr Street), Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust (Main & Hall Streets), Borough Hall (140 Church Street), and Frees Insurance (120 Gay Street).

Finally, we have a save the date for you – on Thu, Oct 1 we will celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of ACT – the Association for the Colonial Theatre. We’ll screen Miller DesignWorks’ documentary about ACT, as well as Run Lola Run, the first film we showed when we opened our doors on Oct 1, 1999. After that, a party! More details to come.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
