the colonial theatre marquee

Feb 6 – 12

Slumdog Millionaire is staying with us for one more week. The screening tonight is at 7:30PM. Please note that on Saturday, the only Slumdog screening will be at 11AM due to the Two Funny Philly Guys show that night. Rachel Getting Married starts next Friday, Feb 13. Good news – we finally got a confirmation on Milk! It starts on Feb 20. After that, we've got another Best Picture nominee, The Reader, starting on Feb 27.

It's First Friday Fright Night tomorrow night and we're screening Oldboy at 10PM. I've not seen it yet, so I will be anxiously waiting for it all day tomorrow. You can read about it here.

This month we're doing a Foreign Film Festival for Young Audiences on Saturdays at 2PM. First up is a brilliant animated feature, Sita Sings the Blues, which has been garnering all kinds of accolades at festivals around the world, including The New York International Children's Film Festival. We're recommending it for ages 10+.

This Sunday at 2PM we're screening the masterful, and very long Gone with the Wind at 2PM. Come in your comfy clothes!

It's time I let you all know that the Colonial has a Facebook page. You can see it here. Please help us keep it vibrant by becoming a friend of the theatre and posting comments. The page is relatively new, so we would love to hear your feedback on it, and all things related to the theatre.

Reminder – I've started posting the introductory text from these emails to the News section of our website, so if you ever miss your weekly email, you can check it out here. And, just yesterday I figured out how to get that RSS feed to automatically post to our facebook page, so you can read it there too.

Thanks for your support and we'll see you at the theatre!
