Jul 24 – 30

Lemon Tree has its last screening tonight at 7:30PM. Tomorrow (Friday) we start a one week run of Sugar. Other upcoming films are Summer Hours on Jul 31 and Food, Inc. on Aug 14.

A note about Food, Inc. – Liz Andersen, founder of the Phoenixville Farmers’ Market, is putting together a panel for our film discussion that week. Please join us immediately after the 7:30PM screening on Wed, Aug 19 for what is sure to be an engaging and enlightening discussion about the film and food.

We’re wrapping up our month of classics filmed in Phoenixville on Sunday at 2PM with From the Terrace (1960) starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. This film will be screened on DVD.

Our Children’s Summer Series continues with a show by local, award-winning author Jane Kirkland on Tue, Jul 28 at 10:30AM. Tickets are just $5 per person and will be available at the door. Advance purchase tickets are available online up until the day before the show.

Finally, a few distractions for you. First, IFC has put together a list of the 50 Greatest Trailers of All Time. And second, one of my favorite films of last year’s Children’s Series was Sita Sings the Blues. It comes out on DVD July 28. Go ahead and watch it online, put it on your Netflix queue, or pre-order it from Amazon.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
