Seraphine has its last screening tonight at 7:30PM. Tomorrow (Friday) we start a one week run of Cold Souls. The Cove starts on Sep 11, In the Loop starts on Sep 18. And, remember, we’ll be closed on Labor Day.
From Sep 25 – 27 we’re thrilled to have Horizon Theatre here to perform The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr [Abridged]. Details on this hilarious show are below.We’re also jazzed to welcome back the amazing City Rhythm Orchestra on Sun, Sep 20 to perform their Benny Goodman Centennial Concert. And let’s not forget that Kevin and Michael Bacon are returning with their band on Sat, Oct 10 to perform their third benefit concert for the Colonial and the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust! Tomorrow is First Friday Fright Night which means cult and horror films at the Colonial. This time around we’re showing Army of Darkness (1992, Sam Raimi) on 35 mm! Bob Trate has already dropped off his Limited Edition DVD of the film so we can show you the alternate ending too. We also have a new batch of the super cool, glow in the dark FFFN t-shirts ready to go. They’re $15 a piece and help support our FFFN programming.
Our theme for the classic films this month is Better on the Big Screen, starting with The Searchers this Sunday at 2PM. Big thanks to Halladay Florist for sponsoring this film!
