It Might Get Loud, the doc about guitar greats Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White, is staying with us until Wed, Nov 4. However, due to lots of concerts and special events in the next week, it won’t screen every day.Bright Star will start on Nov 6.
The SOLD OUT Blue Oyster Cult concert is tomorrow (Friday) night. When a show has sold out, rush tickets, the remaining seats in the upper balcony, go on sale after the performance has started. Patrons are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes in advance of the performance to queue up. After the show has started and all of our ticket holders are in and seated, we will evaluate how many seats are open in the upper balcony and those seats will be made available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that leg room is limited in these seats. Rush tickets are priced the same as balcony tickets for that show, in this case $29.50. We accept cash only at the box office for rush tickets.
This Saturday, the Annual Kiwanis Halloween Party returns to the Colonial. Bring the kids in their costumes and ready to strut their stuff across our stage at 1:30PM. Then, at 2PM we’ll show It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Goodies from the Kiwanis Club are up for grabs too!
This Sunday we begin a month of Jimmy Stewart classics with Harvey at 2PM. This is a terrific family film!! We’re recommending it for ages 10+.
On Sunday night Mantis Entertainment is putting on a concert with several local bands including Better Day, Rocket88 and Eden’s Unknown. Tickets will be $15 at the door. Door open at 6PM and the show starts at 6:30PM.
It’s almost Election Day (Tue, Nov 3) which means that The Muppets are almost here!! So, do go out and vote early and then bring your crew to the Colonial for Muppets, Music and Magic: Jim Henson’s Legacy starting at 11AM. The day will be jam-packed with all things Muppets, as will Saturday, Nov 7 when we pick up the program again starting at 12PM. The last Muppet screening will be Muppet Fairytales on Sunday, Nov 8 at 12:15PM.
Next week just may be my favorite week at the Colonial EVER! Not only because of The Muppets invasion, but also because of the It Goes to 11 Double Feature on Thu, Nov 5. Starting at 7:30PM we’re showing Anvil: The Story of Anvil followed by This is Spinal Tap. Spinal Tap is a pop cultural touchstone worth seeing repeatedly. Really. And if you’ve never seen it, well then, c’mon over!
Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
