In concert news, tickets for Ottmar Liebert and Luna Negra on Sat, May 8 go on sale this Saturday at 12PM. Tickets are still available for The British Invasion Tribute this Sat, Jan 30 at 8PM and they’re just $20! Our Third Annual Robert Burns Memorial Whisky Tasting is tomorrow (Friday) 6PM at Franklin Commons. Tickets for this fundraiser to benefit our classic film series are $100 per person and can still be purchased online. Email Mary if you have any questions about this event.

The Young Victoria has its last screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30PM. Invictus, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, starts tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30PM. Please note that there will be no screenings of Invictus on Saturday due to the British Invasion concert. Up in the Air starts on Feb 5, and the Oscar Nominated Short Films starting on Feb 19.

On Saturday at 2PM we’re showing Flushed Away (2006) a terrific animated film from the creators of Wallace & Gromit that you may have easily missed when it was first released. We’re recommending it for ages 5+.

On Sunday we’re hosting a silent film screening / fundraiser for TOSDV, the organization behind our pipe organ restoration. They’re showing Steamboat Bill, Jr. (Buster Keaton, 1928) at 2PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. More info is here.

Calling all Colonial members and prospective members! Our Sixth Annual Members’ Oscar Party is coming up on Sun, Mar 7 from 6PM until the awards show is over. We have some new and pretty cool things planned for this year’s party. Details will be sent out in a separate email today or tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that. If you are not already a member, please show us some love this February and help us reach our goal of signing up 100 new members by March 1 – join today!
