Good afternoon, Colonial Fans!
The Lovely Bones has its last screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30PM. Crazy Heart starts tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30PM. April is going to be a little lean on new feature films because we have lots of concerts and special events spread throughout the month and that impacts our film schedule. Please double check film days and times before you make the trek into town.
Our Young Audiences show for this Saturday (2PM) is Billy Kelly performing his first concert at the Colonial. We’re expecting a fantastic show and are thrilled to welcome him to Pville! Listen to his song, People Really Like Milk, reviewed on NPR!
Our classic film this Sunday (2PM) is On the Waterfront (1954), rounding out our month of 1950’s Oscar contenders. Next month we pay tribute to the terrific baseball films that came out in the 1980s: Eight Men Out, Field of Dreams, and The Natural. Now, I must confess something — I had booked Bull Durham for Sun, Apr 4, not realizing when I did that it was Easter Sunday. We’ve always been closed for Easter and so I have canceled the booking. However, if I get an onslaught of pleas from you to reschedule it, I will. Let your voices be heard, Bull Durham fans!
Finally, we’re launching our own TEDx event here at the Colonial and we’ve begun posting some info about it on our website. Stay tuned!
Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
