Spend a Week at the Colonial: May 21 – 27

ghost-writer-still

Greenberg has its last screening tonight (Thursday) at 7:30PM. The Ghost Writer, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Ewan McGregor, starts tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30PM. Sweetgrass starts on May 28; City Island on Jun 4, The Secret of Kells (a beautiful animated film for kids and adults) on Jun 18, and Mid-August Lunch on Jul 2.

Our classic film on Sunday at 2PM should be a real treat – we’ve got an archive 35mm print of Johnny Guitar, a kinky, campy, Joan Crawford-y western.

We’ve got lots of announcements and updates this week, so please read on.

We’re hiring!: The Colonial has a part-time Patron Services Manager position available. You can read all about here. If interested, please email your resume to Mary by Fri, May 28.

Tickets: Comedian Craig Shoemaker is coming to the Colonial on Sat, Nov 20 and tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 10AM.

Young Audiences: Our Summer Series brochure can be downloaded from our website. Let us know if you would like one mailed to you. We still have a few spots available for our unique kids workshop with artist Hua Hua Zhang happening Jul 26 – 30. Finally, don’t forget to let your kids vote for which film they would like to see on Aug 3!

TEDxPhoenixville: Both May 25 and Jun 22 are sold out, but stay tuned, we’ll announce another salon next week.

Parking: Just found out that parking in the municipal lots is free on Sundays. Classic film fans rejoice!

BlobFest: Become a fan on Facebook and get fully immersed in all things BlobFest!

Finally, we’d like to welcome Jud, our summer intern, to our team! We’re very happy to have him helping us out in all areas of the theatre.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
