Spend the Week at the Colonial: Jun 18 – 24

A Prophet has its last screening tonight at 7:30PM. The Secret of Kells starts tomorrow, Friday, at 7:30PM. Nominated for this year’s Best Animated Feature Oscar, Kells has been racking up rave reviews.

The Secret in their Eyes begins on Jun 25, Mid-August Lunch on Jul 2, Lbs. (directed by a former BlobFest Shorty Award winner) on Jul 12, 9500 Liberty on Jul 16, and Exit through the Gift Shop on Jul 23.

We’ve got TWO great Fright Night screenings coming up in July: Jaws on Fri, Jul 2 at 9:45PM (which we may actually be able to start a tad earlier, at 9:30, so check the website next week) and Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Zombie Nightmare on Fri, Jul 16.

Looking for something cool to do for Father’s Day weekend? If you’ve got grade schoolers in your family, bring them to one of our Sunday screenings (5PM and 7PM) of The Secret of Kells, a beautiful animated film suitable for ages 9+. Or, join us for our Back to the Future marathon on Saturday starting at 12PM. If you want to be even more old-school, how about coming to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid on Sunday at 2PM?

While we’re on the topic of your kids, the July 1 deadline for voting for the film you and your kids want to see on Tue, Aug 3 as part of our childrens’ summer series is almost here. Mary Poppins is in the lead with 41% of the vote. Check out the contenders and vote here.

Our next TEDTalks Tuesday salon is next week. At the moment, I have 6 seats that have opened up. If you would like to come, please call me (Kirsten) at 610-917-1228 to reserve your spot. Also, we noticed last month that we had some empty seats. If you have already purchased tickets, but are now unable to attend, please let us know so that we can make those seats available to those who can.

Tickets to BlobFest are on sale now. The Friday Night Re-Enactment Revelry tends to sell out, so don’t wait too long to get your tickets. We’re also recruiting volunteers for this year’s fest happening Jul 9 -11. If you’re interested in helping out, send an email to Mary.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
