Spend a Week at the Colonial May 20 – May 26

Our new feature film this week is the comedy Potiche, starring Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu. Tonight is your last chance to see Jane Eyre at 7:30PM.

We’ve got some great films coming in the next few weeks:

  • Week of May 27: Lebanon, Pa. (Join us for a Q&A with the director and the producer of the movie on Wed June 1st after the 7:30 screening!)
  • Week of Jun 3: Win Win (starring Paul Giamatti)
  • Week of Jun 10: In A Better World (Oscar winner)

It’s time for more Mystery Science Theater, so this Friday come laugh at Joe Don Baker and the unintentional comedy of MST3K: Final Justice.

Our Sunday Classic featuring the films of Myrna Loy continues with the always charming Cary Grant and teenager Shirley Temple in The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.

Ever wonder what it would be like to have NO experience with movies as a child? Our documentary this Sunday, The First Movie, takes you to a world (a small village in Iraq) where children experience film for the first time – both as viewers and filmmakers!

They’re back! The Colonial Theatre is Bringing Back the Bacons Friday, Nov 18. The concert, donated by the Bacon Brothers, will benefit both the Association for the Colonial Theatre (ACT) and the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust (FPCCT). Tickets go on sale Sept 1. The first five rows are reserved for sponsors, so if you would like to be a sponsor, contact Mary Foote, Executive Director of the Colonial Theatre.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
