Spend a Week at the Colonial Aug 31 – Sep 6

You asked for it – we got it! Beasts of the Southern Wild will be our feature starting Sep 7!

Our new feature this week is Queen of Versailles. Filmmaker Lauren Greenfield documents the lives of Jackie and David Siegel in this real life riches to rags tale. This documentary has been described as balanced, outrageous and utterly charming. Come watch it and decide for yourself. Tonight is your last chance to see Ruby Sparks at 7:30.

The speaker line up for TEDxPhoenixville (Oct 6) has been announced! Click here to see the list and get your tickets now online, over the phone or at the box office. A catered lunch is included for the first 150 ticket buyers.

It’s tour time! Join us this Sunday at 12:30PM for a tour of the theatre. Tour attendees also get a sneak preview of 225 Bridge St., the building to which the theatre is expanding in the next few years. Please RSVP by 5PM Saturday at 610-917-1228. Come for the tour and stay for the classic film! (Incidentally, any enthusiastic patrons interested in giving theatre tours, please respond to this email!)

Speaking of classic film, our theme for September is Flashback Flim Noir. This week’s Sunday classic is Laura, starring Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney. Andrews plays New York detective Mark McPherson who is investigating the murder of Laura Hunt (Tierney).

We will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
