Colonial members, the 2012 Members’ Oscar Party is fully booked! We are no longer accepting RSVPs. If you missed the deadline, remember, there is always next year! See you Sunday night at the Oscars!
We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to The Artist, so we are carrying it over this week. Thank you for coming out and supporting your favorite theatre! For those who have not seen it yet, we have a SPECIAL treat for you tomorrow. Come early, and from 7:00-7:25, Wayne Zimmerman will be playing live music on the pipe organ for you. He promises to be a great “opening act” for a great movie!
For those of you who have already attended and enjoyed the silent film, as well as silent film aficionados, you’ll be delighted to know that we will be screening the Buster Keaton silent classic The General on Saturday, May 19, 7PM. It will be accompanied with live pipe organ music by our friends from TOSDV. See you then!
Saturday our kids’ film is Turtles Can Fly. It is the gripping story of children growing up in war-torn Iraq. Appropriate for children ages 12 and up.
If Midnight in Paris was your first experience with director Woody Allen, we highly recommend the film many consider to be his best. Join us for our classic film this Sunday at 2PM, Annie Hall. And Allen fans, come watch and remember the magical performances of Woody Allen, Diane Keaton and a cast of stars on the big screen!
TEDx fans: On Wednesday, Feb 29, play hooky for the day and join us for TEDxPhoenixvilleLive in the 3rd Floor Screening Room. We will be hosting a FREE webcast of all four available TED2012 sessions from 11:30AM thru 9PM. We will not have any live speakers that day, but instead plan on immersing ourselves in the fantastic day that TED has planned. No tickets are required, but seating is limited to 50. Please email Kirsten to RSVP or if you have any questions.
