Spend a Week at the Colonial Nov 16 – Nov 21

Tickets go on sale 10AM tomorrow for Live at the Fillmore and Countdown to Ecstasy (Allman Brothers tribute band and Steely Dan tribute band), Friday Jan 25 at 8PM and The David Bromberg Quartet, Sunday, Mar 24 at 7:30PM. You can get tickets online, over the phone or at the box office starting at 10AM.

Our new feature this week is Argo. This is an incredibly suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat movie with great storytelling by director/actor Ben Affleck and brilliant performances by Alan Arkin and John Goodman. Tonight is your last chance to see The Dark Knight Rises at 7:30.

After our feature Friday night, stay for our cult film Death Rides a Horse at 10PM. Watch this great spaghetti western starring Lee Van Cleef.

Saturday at 2PM our kids movie is White Fang. Jack Conroy (played by then 21-year-old Ethan Hawke) is a young man mining for gold in Alaska with his dog White Fang.

Our classic film this Sunday at 2PM (sponsored by Upattinas School) is the hilarious Young Frankenstein. Join us for this affectionate spoof on early horror films.

Sunday at 4:30PM, our documentary feature is Beats, Rhymes and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest. Follow the filmmaker as he explores the relationships of the two lead members of the hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest.

We’d like to mention a production by our friends at Peoples Light and Theatre Company. Nov 29-Dec 23 they are presenting a one-man show of This Wonderful Life, starring Steve Murray. Click HERE for tickets and more information.

While we’re on the subject of the holidays, don’t forget our own family tradition in December. The film It’s a Wonderful Life, sponsored by Upattinas School plays Dec 22 at 4:30PM and Dec 23 at 2PM. Get your tickets here now and avoid the box office lines.

We will be closed Thursday. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
