Spend a Week at the Colonial Sep 21 – Sep 27

Our new feature this week is Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry. This is a film about internationally renowned Chinese artist and activist, Ai Weiwei (designer of the famous “Bird’s Nest” stadium in Beijing). Director Alison Klayman follows him in preparation for major museum exhibitions, his intimate exchanges with family members and his increasingly public clashes with the Chinese government. We follow our feature Friday night with the original 1987 RoboCop at 9:45.

Our Sunday classic is Out of the Past. It stars Robert Mitchum as Jeff Bailey, the man with the mysterious past and Jane Greer as the evil femme fatale. Our documentary Sunday at 4:30 is Jiro Dreams of Sushi. This charming film puts the spotlight on Jiro and his discipline, vocational call and tenacity.
