Spend a Week at the Colonial Jun 21 – Jun 27

frances

Our new feature film this week is Frances Ha. The film stars Greta Gerwig as a quirky young woman trying to become a more responsible adult without losing her sense of who she is. Tonight is your last chance to see The Great Gatsby at 7:30PM.

Following our feature Friday night, come see MST3K: Hobgoblins. This is one seriously bad B movie, so come on over and yuk it up with the Colonial cult crew!

Sundays in June, our classic film series is being taken over by casting director Mike Lemon. Sunday’s classic film is The Uninvited. Hollywood’s “first ghost story” (starring Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey and Donald Crisp) is a thoroughly enjoyable film with some real jolts and a great atmosphere! It will be followed by a Q&A with Mike.

Our next TEDxPhoenixville Salon is Thursday, Jun 27 at 6:30PM. This month’s live speaker will be LisaBeth Weber, Creativist.

Point Entertainment presents Tommy Emmanuel on Jun 27 at 8PM for the first of two nights of great entertainment. Great tickets are still on sale and may be purchased online here.

Wow, the deadline for the Shorty Amateur Film Contest is coming up soon – Jun 24, 5PM! Submit your short film centered around the The Blob, Blobfest, and/or sci-fi. Don’t miss your opportunity to win a Shorty Award! Click HERE for more information.

Although the Jul 12 Friday Night Run Out is sold out, you can still have a blast outside. There will be a tin foil hat contest and parade with live music at the Main Stage on the corner of Bridge and Main. AND, plenty of tickets are still available for the double features on Saturday, Jul 13 (11AM, 3:15PM and 8PM) and Sunday, Jul 14 (2PM).

Finally, a huge, warm welcome to Jen Moszczynski, our new Development Associate! Jen comes to us with great development experience. She started on Monday and we are lucky to have her at the Colonial.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
