Spend a Week at the Colonial May 24 – May 30

Tickets for Blobfest 2013 will go on sale Friday, May 31 at 11:00AM. More information will be posted in next week’s email. The Shorty Amateur Film Contest has begun – and the deadline is 5:00PM on MONDAY, JUNE 24, 2013. For more information on the contest, click here.

There are still tickets available for tonight’s TEDxPhoenixville salon at 6:30PM. Our live speaker will be game designer, Matthew Akana. Buy your tickets now!

Our new feature film this week is The Company You Keep. It is the story of a former Weather Underground activist (Robert Redford) who goes on the run from a journalist (Shia LaBeouf), who has discovered his identity. Tonight is your last chance to see 42 at 7:30PM.

Sunday our “Book to Film” classic will be In Cold Blood. We will follow with the 2005 film of the same subject, Capote, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman. The former film tells the story from the point of view of the killers; the latter follows Capote in a narcissistic descent.

Thursday we present the premiere of a thesis film by film major/director Michael Marabella: Unwound. It is a short film based on a cassette tape diary from the 1970s. The film will be followed by a Q&A with the director.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
