Spend a Week at the Colonial Aug 15 – Aug 21

We are carrying over our feature film this week, Boyhood. Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater’s film is a groundbreaking story of growing up, as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (a breakthrough performance by Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before our eyes. Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason’s parents and newcomer Lorelei Linklater as his sister Samantha. Please note that Friday’s screening time is 7PM (rather than the usual 7:30) due to the length of the film.

Following our feature Friday night, stay for MST3K: Bride of the Monster at 10:15. Join Joel and the bots as a mad scientist’s efforts to create a race of supermen attract the attention of a reporter and the police.

Join us each Sunday afternoon at 2PM this month for our special Classic films centered on World War I. This Sunday we’re screening Mata Hari. The film stars Greta Garbo as a beautiful German exotic dancer who who was accused of spying for Germany during World War I.

Our Young Audiences show this Tuesday at 10:30AM is Makin’ Music Rockin’ Rhythms. The focus is on rhythm, music, and FUN as you stomp, clap, and sing your way through a rockin’ good time! This kids show is the last of the season – we will be back in October with our Saturday shows!
