In 1985 Dallas, electrician and hustler Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaughey) works around the system to help AIDS patients get the medication they need after he is himself diagnosed with the disease. Our Young Audiences film this Saturday at 2PM is Rear Window. James Stewart stars as a wheelchair bound photographer who spies on his neighbours from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder. He enlists the help of his girlfriend Lisa (Grace Kelly) and his visiting nurse Stella (Thelma Ritter) to investigate.
Our next digitally restored classic film is Lawrence of Arabia. Peter O’Toole leads a star-studded cast as Thomas Edward Lawrence, a flamboyant and controversial British military figure who has conflicted loyalties during his World War I service in the Middle East. Other stars include Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, JosÃ© Ferrer and Claude Rains. Come see this big film on the big screen!
