Our new feature film this week is Nebraska. The film stars Bruce Dern as an aging, booze-addled father making the trip from Montana to Nebraska with his estranged son in order to claim a million-dollar prize. The film is SURE to be an Oscar contender, so don’t miss it! Tonight is your last chance to see Philomena at 7:30.
Following our feature tomorrow night, stay for The Thing at 10PM. Scientists in the Antarctic are confronted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of the people that it kills. John Carpenter directs this great film starring Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley and Keith David.
Our kids’ film this Saturday at 2PM is Eleanor’s Secret. It is a beautifully designed, rollicking animated movie adventure about a magic library where all the characters from classic children’s books come alive.
Our classic films this month were produced by the great Robert Evans, who saved Paramount in the ’70s with movies that have become stunning classics. This week we begin with Love Story. Nominated for seven Oscars, and winning for best Original Music Score, this is a love story not to be missed.
This year we are adding an additional feature film matinee screening on Wednesdays. It will typically be about 4:30PM. Check the schedule for exact showtimes each week.
Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
