Tickets are still available for our Holiday Theatre Organ Concert, Sunday, Nov 30 at 2PM. Join us for TOSDV’s pre-holiday presentation. Enjoy one or two silent comedy shorts including the Laurel & Hardy classic Big Business. As always, the easiest, fastest way to buy tickets is online.
We are carrying over our feature film this week St. Vincent. A young boy whose parents have just divorced finds an unlikely friend and mentor in the cantankerous war veteran (Bill Murray) who lives next door. Our next feature film will be Dear White People, starting Nov 14.
Friday night after our feature, stay for our FFFN film, The Dead Zone. Based on a novel by Stephen King, it stars Christopher Walken as a man who awakens from a coma to discover he has a psychic detective ability.
Our Saturday afternoon kids’ film this week is Who Framed Roger Rabbit? A toon hating detective Eddie Valiant (played by the late Bob Hoskins) is a cartoon rabbit’s only hope to prove his innocence when he is accused of murder. Groundbreaking interaction between the live and animated characters, and lots of references to classic animation.
Our next classic film based on the novels of Charles Dickens is A Tale of Two Cities, this Sunday at 2PM. A pair of lookalikes, one a former French aristocrat (Donald Woods) and the other an alcoholic English lawyer (Ronald Colman), fall in love with the same woman amongst the turmoil of the French Revolution.
