Spend a Week at the Colonial Apr 17 – Apr 23

Friday, Jun 26 at 8PM, The Colonial Theatre and French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust welcome back The Bacon Brothers! Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 10AM. Raffle tickets will also be on sale for 5 winners (with one guest per winner) to Meet and Greet Michael and Kevin. If you would like to sponsor this terrific event, contact Mary Foote, Executive Director of the Colonial Theatre.

Our new feature this week is Woman in Gold. Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren), a Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family. Tonight is your last chance to see Mr. Turner at 7:30PM.

Friday night after the feature, in honor of Record Store Day, stay for our Cult Cinema film, Empire Records at 10PM. The employees of an independent music store learn about each other as they try anything to stop the store being absorbed by a large chain. Starring Anthony LaPaglia, Renée Zellweger, Liv Tyler, and Maxwell Caulfield.

Our Young Audiences film this Saturday at 2PM is Mary Poppins, sponsored by Phoenix Karate. Julie Andrews stars (with Dick Van Dyke) as a magic nanny who comes to work for a cold banker’s unhappy family.

Our classic film this Sunday is A Passage to India. David Lean (on his final project) directs this film in which cultural mistrust and false accusations doom a friendship in British colonial India between an Indian doctor, an Englishwoman engaged to marry a city magistrate, and an English educator.

Join us next Sunday, Apr 12 at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to preview 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Saturday by calling 610-917-1228, giving us the names of all attending.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
