Spend a Week at the Colonial Aug 21 – Aug 27

Who’s a fan of that great scene in MOONSTRUCK in which Cher and Nick Cage attend the opera? Beautiful music, no? Well, we’ll be screening a performance of that very opera, La bohème, tonight at 7:30, performed by the Royal Opera. Join us!

We are carrying over our feature film this week: Mr. Holmes. An aged, retired Sherlock Holmes looks back on his life, and grapples with an unsolved case involving a beautiful woman. We will not be screening tonight because of La bohème, but you will have lots of opportunities the rest of the week.

Following our feature Friday, stay for MST3K: Devil Doll. An evil ventriloquist traps souls in his stage dummies while Crow innocently falls in league with a devil!

Our Classic film this Sunday at 2PM is Stanley Kubrick’s epic Spartacus, sponsored by Meade Heating and Air Conditioning. It is a four time Academy Award winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Peter Ustinov), Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, and Best Costume Design. propelled by a dazzling screenplay. Kubrick draws some of the greatest performances of the cast, and fills the screen with images that fascinate. Don’t miss this star-studded classic.

Join us this Sunday at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to preview 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Saturday by calling 610-917-1228, giving us the names of all attending.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
