Spend a Week at the Colonial Dec 18 – Dec 24

Charlie Brown Jazz: An Evening with the Eric Mintel Quartet is back tonight at 7:30. Eric and the group perform the score to A Charlie Brown Christmas, along with other holiday classics. Get your tickets online here.

Our new feature film this week is Brooklyn. Looming skyscrapers in a distant land, the kindness of strangers, love and hope for a better life in 1950s Brooklyn; such things open the eyes of Eilis to opportunities she did not have in the Irish countryside. Saoirse Ronan, as Eilis, gives a Golden Globe and SAG nominated performance!

Saturday at 2PM, one of our favorite holiday classics returns: A Christmas Story, sponsored by Phoenix Karate. Will Ralphie get that Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle?? Bring the family and find out on the Colonial big screen!

Our classic film is another holiday favorite, It’s a Wonderful Life, sponsored by Artisans Gallery & Cafe and Romantic Jewelers. Choose from three screening dates: Dec 19 at 4:30, Dec 20 at 2:00 and Dec 24 at 2:00.

Sunday at 5:30, we are screening The Royal Ballet’s classic production of The Nutcracker. Peter Wright’s enchanting production with its wondrously growing Christmas tree and a rousing battle between the villainous Mouse King and an army of toy soldiers, retains exquisite surviving fragments of the original Ivanov choreography, including the beautiful pas de deux for the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.

Join us the first and third Sundays of each month at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Thursday by calling 610-917-1228 and giving us the names of all attending.

The theatre will be closed Christmas Day, but will be open every other day with feature and special screenings. Please check the schedule for special times this week.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
