Spend a Week at the Colonial Oct 30 Nov 5

We are bringing back our Royal Opera House presentations, starting Dec 20 at 5:30PM with The Nutcracker! You can find all of our 2015-16 ROH presentations at our website on our newly created Royal Opera House page.

We have also added a page on our website for our Indie Lens Pop-Up series, presented by the Colonial Theatre and WHYY. The series will begin Saturday, Nov 14 at 11AM with Autism in Love. All screenings are on Saturday mornings at 11AM and are FREE! Short (20 minute) panel discussions will follow most screenings.

Our new feature film this week is The Assassin. Directed by Hsiao-hsien Hou (considered by some as the greatest living director), this is true art film. Take in the atmosphere of this beautifully shot story of a young female assassin who has to choose between sacrificing the man she loves, or to break definitively with the “order of the Assassins.” Tonight is your last chance to see Phoenix at 7:30.

Join us this Saturday at 2PM for our Young Audiences screening of The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Don Knotts plays Luther Heggs: nervous-Nellie, reluctant hero – a character Knotts perfected. Heggs is a man who, in order to become a full-fledged reporter, spends a night in a haunted house. “You’ll be scared until you laugh yourself silly!”

Our classic film Sunday is Orsen Welles’ debut film, Citizen Kane. What can we say about the film that hasn’t been expressed before? Come see Welles as Charles Foster Kane, millionaire newspaper tycoon, and follow his rise from obscurity to staggering heights.

Join us the first and third Sundays of each month at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Thursday by calling 610-917-1228 and giving us the names of all attending.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
