Spend a Week at the Colonial Feb 19 to Feb 25

Our new feature film this week is The Big Short. Adam McKay directs a film about the financial crisis that will have you laughing and crying at the same time. Steve Carell gives one of the best performances of his career and Christian Bale portrays the awkward lonely genius with ease. Ryan Gosling is slick, over the top, and funny in this movie. Brad Pitt plays the good guy and the moral center. Please note: Friday night’s screening begins at 7:20. Tonight is your last chance to see Live Action Oscar Nominated Short Films 2016 at 7:30.

Following our feature Friday night, join us at 10PM for our Cult night feature, Legend. Jack (Tom Cruise) must stop the Lord of Darkness (Tim Curry) from both destroying daylight and marrying the woman he loves in this film directed by Ridley Scott. Limited edition specially commissioned posters by artist Kimberly McCall will be onsale at the screening.

Our young audiences film Saturday at 2PM is Au Revoir les Enfants. This is a great film for teens told by brilliant director, Louis Malle. He tells the tale of a French headmaster hiding three Jewish boys and carefully integrating them as Christians into the school population during World War II.

Our classic film this Sunday at 2PM is Imitation of Life. Lana Turner and Juanita Moore (Best Supporting Actress nominated) star in this 1959 weeper that juxtaposes the lives of two mothers and their daughters.

Join us the first and third Sundays of each month at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Thursday by calling 610-917-1228 and giving us the names of all attending.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
