Spend a Week at the Colonial Jan 22 to Jan 28

We will be open this weekend for all films. If current predictions of a snow storm for Saturday prove true, be careful and only come out if it is safe. If you live within walking distance, come on down and enjoy a movie!

Our new feature film this week is Room. Five-year-old Jack and his mother live in enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life. They enact a risky plan to escape, ultimately bringing them face-to-face with what may turn out to be the scariest thing yet: the real world. Nominated for 4 Oscars and directed by Lenny Abrahamson (Frank), the film stars Brie Larson as Ma and Jacob Tremblay in a virtuoso performance as Jack. Tonight is your last chance to see Spotlight at 7:30.

Following the feature Friday night, stay for our cult feature Dragonslayer (1981) at 10PM. A young wizarding apprentice (Peter MacNicol) is sent to kill a dragon which has been devouring girls from a nearby kingdom.

Our young audiences film Saturday at 2PM is The Iron Giant. The film is directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratatouille) and voiced by actors Harry Connick Jr., Vin Diesel, Jennifer Aniston, and John Mahoney. Join us for the story of a young boy who befriends a giant robot from outer space that a paranoid government agent wants to destroy.

Our classic film this Sunday at 2PM is Odds Against Tomorrow. Robert Wise directs Harry Belafonte, Robert Ryan and Shelley Winters in a thrilling bank heist caper.

Tickets are still available for this Tuesday, Jan 26 TEDxPhoenixville Salon at 7:00. Our speaker will be graphic artist Tom Whalen. Purchase tickets online here.

Join us the first and third Sundays of each month at 12:30 for an exclusive tour of the theatre and a visit to 225 Bridge St. Please RSVP by 5PM Thursday by calling 610-917-1228 and giving us the names of all attending.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
