‘Bank on the Arts’ Groundbreaking Ceremony & Public Campaign Launch

This is a free event that is open to all members of the public. It does not require a reservation or ticket to attend.

Join the board of directors, campaign team, staff, volunteers, members, and donors as we reveal the details and celebrate the public announcement of a long-held, $8M surprise: the Colonial Theatre is expanding! Since 2011, we have been the proud owner of the historic, ca. 1925 Bank of Phoenixville Building next door to the theatre. Through an adaptive re-use of that 11,000 square foot building the Colonial is adding two smaller theatres for film, a spacious lobby, expanded patron amenities – and more!

This Groundbreaking Celebration and Public Capital Campaign Launch will occur in front of the Bank of Phoenixville Building at 225 Bridge Street which will be closed between Main and Gay Streets for the celebration beginning at 4:00 PM. The schedule of events is as follows:

5:00 – 5:45 PM: Speakers & Legislative Remarks, Introduction of Bank on the Arts Campaign Captain

~5:45 PM: Symbolic Groundbreaking Gesture

6:00 – 7:00 PM: Reception in the Colonial Theatre lobby

The Tuesday night film will screen at 8:00 PM following the Groundbreaking.

On April 5th, a dedicated website will launch for the Bank on the Arts campaign at www.bankonthearts.org.
