Loosely based on the novel by Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany’s follows the exploits of Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), a charming yet naïve socialite who hosts wild cocktail parties, delivers a weekly ‟weather report” to a jailed mobster, and searches for a millionaire to marry. When young would-be writer Paul Varjak (George Peppard) moves into her apartment building, he begins to learn that there’s more to Holly than meets the eye. Highlighted by Ms. Hepburn’s iconic performance, Breakfast at Tiffany’s also introduced the world to Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer’s Oscar- and Grammy-winning standard “Moon River.”
