Fall Theatre Organ Concert
Presented by The Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley
Sun., September 20, 2015
The Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley will begin their 2015-2016 season by presenting Walt Strony at the Wurlitzer console. Mr. Strony is one of America’s premier concert organists. He made his public debut in 1974 at the age of 18 and is one of the few organists equally at home playing theatre and classical organ. He has performed coast to coast in the U.S. as well as in Japan, Australia, England and Canada. In addition to being one of America’s most sought after concert organists, he is well known for his work as a pipe organ tonal finisher. We were very fortunate to engage him to finish our organ and make it sound as wonderful as it does. Since this will be his first concert on the now completed instrument it promises to be very special for both artist and audience. TOSDV invites you to enjoy an afternoon of fine entertainment with one of the best performers and arrangers of theatre organ music! This program benefits the Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley Theatre Pipe Organ Restoration Fund. (Program subject to change.)
