UPDATE 3/25/2020 event has been POSTPONED. Please check back for a new date soon.

Farmers for America is all about supporting young farmers. We face a unique moment in America’s Agriculture. The average age of the U.S. farmer is 60 years old. Half of our farmland is going to change hands in the next 12 years. It’s a time of upheaval, risk, and extraordinary opportunity. To continue to feed ourselves in the years ahead, we need a new generation of young people to step forward.

Join us for a movie viewing of Farmers for America, followed by a panel discussion led by Emma Cunniff of Kneehigh Farm at Lundale Farm and Pete Flynn of Pete’s Produce Farm.

Lundale Farm is a place of inspiration, innovation and opportunity for new farmers, landowners, and others committed to locally grown food. At Lundale Farm, the overlapping missions of sustainable farming, land conservation, and enhanced local food supply meet. By putting land under easement into productive use through leases, we 1) provide opportunities for new and establishing farmers to earn a livelihood; 2) increase the amount of food locally available to the Philadelphia region; 3) provide opportunities for apprenticeship and demonstration to the larger community, and 4) serve as a model to other landowners for productive, responsible use of conserved land.
