It’s hard to believe that Harold Ramis’ cosmic comic masterpiece turns 25 this year. It seems like only yesterday since it was released. When vain, arrogant and selfish Pittsburgh weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray in his greatest role) is dispatched to Punxsutawney, PA to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities, he believes it’s just a simple, one-day assignment and career stepping stone to the big leagues of network TV. What Phil doesn’t know is that a huge blizzard (which he incorrectly forecasted) is not only going to delay his journey home – it’s going to keep Phil trapped in the same 24 -hour cycle.
