Special Saturday 2PM screening for the kids of one of the best MST episodes EVER! Just when Joel thought being stranded in outer space was the worst thing that could happen, mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester beams up a heavy dose of cinematic punishment called “The Pod People.” Not only does it have aliens from another planet, it was made in a foreign country. During an opening scene where a backwoods dolt uses the butt of his gun to smash eggs from outer space, Crow remarks, “Who does he think he is, an L.A. cop?” And as the end credits roll up screen, Joel eyes the name of Emilio Ruiz, making the connection, “Isn’t that Martin Sheen’s kid?” to which Crow comes back, “Hey! Who isn’t?” There’ so much more including Tom Servo’s best Yoda impression and some hilarious on-ship antics. (Rhino)
