In his second pairing with Alfred Hitchcock, James Stewart plays a wheel-chair bound photographer who watches his neighbors through the bedroom window of his apartment. As the long summer days stretch on, the photographer’s amusement turns to shock when he comes to suspect that one of his neighbors (Raymond Burr) has murdered his wife. The suspense mounts as the photographer, his girlfriend (Grace Kelly) and his delightfully funny nurse (Thelma Ritter) seek to unearth the truth.
