Join us at 1pm for a pre-screening performance by the New Horizons Band in our lobby! The New Horizons band is an adult community ensemble based out of Community Music School designed to give adult students the opportunity to perform on their instruments in a group setting.  Membership is open to adult musicians of all levels who play band instruments–we rehearse on Saturday mornings.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford shine in their second screen pairing as Depression-era con men looking to pull a fast one on the wealthy mobster (Robert Shaw) who murdered their mentor. Accompanied by Marvin Hamlisch’s adaptation of Scott Joplin’s ragtime music, The Sting was a huge hit with audiences and critics that took home Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Score. This crowd-pleaser also features memorable turns by Charles Durning, Ray Walston, Eileen Brennan, and Robert Earl Jones (father of James Earl Jones).
