Sun., May 3, 2020
The Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley presents an afternoon of Broadway and Movie Music played by an extremely talented musician – Justin Nimmo!
Justin Nimmo began organ studies at 5 and at 13 played theatre organ at the Riviera Theatre. Recognizing talent, the owners allowed regular access to develop style. At 16, he became a house organist and regularly played overtures and other programs. Nimmo resides in Indianapolis, Indiana where he is a member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society and often performs for Chapter events. He has been employed by Carlton Smith Theatre Pipe Organ Restorations since 2004 where he has further developed his theatre organ skills to include the installation and restoration of theatre organs. Justin is a 2005 and 2006 recipient of a scholarship from the American Theatre Organ Society and has studied with renowned theatre organ teacher John Ferguson. In 2011 he was awarded the Theatre Organ Apprenticeship Award by The American Theatre Organ Society, the only such award given to someone as of 2015.
This program benefits the Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley (TOSDV) Theatre Pipe Organ Restoration Fund. For additional information visit TOSDV.org; email firstname.lastname@example.org; or call 215-780-0831.
