During her statewide Penn State Laureate tour, filmmaker and Centre Film Festival Artistic Director Pearl Gluck stops at Phoenixville’s historic Colonial Theatre with a screening of The Librarians which was the recipient of the Founders Award at the 2025 Centre Film Festival. The program pairs Gluck’s short film, Summer, with the award-winning feature The Librarians, inviting audiences to reflect on storytelling, censorship, and the enduring role of libraries as spaces of curiosity, risk, and intellectual freedom.
