The Writers Room
The Writers Room is a pay-what-you-wish writers pop-up where you can come to any class that works within your schedule!
About
The Writers Room is a community of writers focusing on the tactics of screenwriting and storytelling. Each session will center on a theme (formatting, 3-act structure, the “complex character”) and end with the option to table-read student work, with discussions to follow.
Each class is a standalone lesson, so writers can drop in whenever their schedules allow. This year’s Writers Room topics include:
Led by Jeff Bender (MFA Columbia University, teacher at Ursinus College), who teaches Intro to Screenwriting (Spring and Fall 2026) and Screenwriting II (Spring 2027) at the Colonial Theatre. He’s also a judge for the Phoenixville Film Festival.
