Dare to Declare: Red Carpet Premiere
January 28th, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
About
Created to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary, Dare to Declare presents American history as a living civic inheritance rather than a finished story. This short documentary film features Chester County students and community members reading the Declaration of Independence aloud, returning the document to its original purpose: as words meant to be heard, shared, and grappled with collectively. Through contemporary voices, the film explores enduring questions of equality, inclusion, and civic responsibility that continue to define the American experience.
This film is rooted in the belief that democracy depends on participation. By centering the simple but powerful act of reading the Declaration aloud, Dare to Declare invites viewers to consider what these founding ideals mean today and how each generation carries the nation’s unfinished work forward.
