Eddie Bruce’s Musical Valentine: The Songs of Tony Bennett
The Colonial PresentsAbout
Eddie Bruce’s Musical Valentine: The Songs of Tony Bennett is a critically acclaimed celebration of the legend of American Popular Song that has delighted audiences of all ages up and down the East Coast in the several years it’s been successfully touring.
Critical acclaim and performing before happy audiences are nothing new to the iconic vocalist, bandleader, broadcaster and show business veteran. Indeed, just weeks ago, Eddie Bruce opened the Philly Pops’ new season at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center with his salute to Bennett—and Frank Sinatra–where he performed in front of an audience of more than 2,000. And his brand-new CD, recorded with the swinging Ed Vezhino/Jim Ward Big Band, “For Dreamers and Their Dreams,” has just dropped on streaming platforms worldwide and has already received terrific early reviews.
What makes this homage to the man and his music unique, captivating and memorable is Eddie Bruce’s passion and his singular, interpretative powers. Whether singing the well-known Bennett hits, some charming but lesser known compositions from the Bennett songbook, or the famed Tony Bennett love songs; the spirit is Bennett’s but the musical imprint is Eddie Bruce’s.
In this year, 2026, Tony Bennett would have been 100 years old and that is cause for celebration. With Eddie Bruce stage center, as the song goes, “the music never ends.”
