Eddie Bruce’s Musical Valentine: The Songs of Tony Bennett

The Colonial Presents

About

Eddie Bruce’s Musical Valentine: The Songs of Tony Bennett is a critically acclaimed celebration of the legend of American Popular Song that has delighted audiences of all ages up and down the East Coast in the several years it’s been successfully touring.

Critical acclaim and performing before happy audiences are nothing new to the iconic vocalist, bandleader, broadcaster and show business veteran. Indeed, just weeks ago, Eddie Bruce opened the Philly Pops’ new season at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center with his salute to Bennett—and Frank Sinatra–where he performed in front of an audience of more than 2,000. And his brand-new CD, recorded with the swinging Ed Vezhino/Jim Ward Big Band, “For Dreamers and Their Dreams,” has just dropped on streaming platforms worldwide and has already received terrific early reviews.

What makes this homage to the man and his music unique, captivating and memorable is Eddie Bruce’s passion and his singular, interpretative powers. Whether singing the well-known Bennett hits, some charming but lesser known compositions from the Bennett songbook, or the famed Tony Bennett love songs; the spirit is Bennett’s but the musical imprint is Eddie Bruce’s.

In this year, 2026, Tony Bennett would have been 100 years old and that is cause for celebration. With Eddie Bruce stage center, as the song goes, “the music never ends.”

Eddie Bruce

Celebrated vocalist and bandleader Eddie Bruce has received rave notices for his captivating tributes to musical icons Tony Bennett, Anthony Newley, Frank Sinatra, the award-winning Broadway and motion picture composers, and Philadelphia’s legendary nightclub, the Latin Casino. He’s performed for sold-out crowds at venues that include most of Atlantic City’s hotel/casinos, 54 Below and Birdland Theatre in New York City, World Café’ Live, Drexel University’s Mandell Theatre and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia; the Bonita Springs Performing Arts Center and The Studio at Mizner Park in Florida, and other spots north and south.

Bruce’s enduring presence as the host of the nationally-broadcast “Dancin’ on Air” television show and his long-running WWDB Radio talk show have added to his multifaceted contributions to the world of entertainment.

More recently, Eddie has recorded a new album backed by a swinging big band, has spearheaded the reissue of his popular, recorded homage to Tony Bennett on streaming platforms worldwide, has performed the National Anthem on several occasions at Philadelphia Phillies baseball game, appeared in the region’s ever-popular Thanksgiving Day Parade, completed a successful, mini-tour of Florida with his Tony Bennett show, and has collaborated with the new Philly Pops in a series of concerts that have played to enthusiastic audiences all over the region.

Described in the press as “electrifying,” “mesmerizing,” and “singularly entertaining,” Eddie Bruce stands as the personification of the show business tradition as it is in 2025.
