For years, we’ve welcomed patrons into the 1903 Theatre, named for the year it was long believed to have first opened to the public. Recent discoveries, however, have revealed that The Colonial actually opened a year earlier than expected—1902, to be exact. In honor of this exciting find, we’re officially renaming our most historic venue from the 1903 Theatre to the 1902 Theatre!

Join us for a special presentation on The Colonial’s rich history with Executive Director Jennifer Carlson, followed by a guided tour of our historic venue. The celebration will conclude with a screening of the 1902 classic A Trip to the Moon to mark this momentous renaming!
