But I’m A Cheerleader is a satirical romantic comedy following Megan (Natasha Lyonne – Poker Face, Russian Doll, Slums of Beverly Hills), a high school cheerleader whose parents (Mink Stole of John Waters’ fame and Bud Cort of Harold and Maude) worry she’s a lesbian and send her to a “rehabilitation camp” to “make her straight.” Megan meets Graham (Clea DuVall of Veep, The Handmaid’s Tale), and the two become friends. But, as Megan gets closer to Graham and spends more time at the camp, the more she begins to question her sexuality. Also starring Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets, The Last of Us) and RuPaul (RuPaul’s Drag Race) as camp assistant, Mike.
HURRICANE DIANE
May 1 – May 19, 2024
By Madeleine George
Directed by Molly Rosa Houlahan
The Leonard C. Haas Stage
Meet Diane: a charming butch permaculture gardener with a mission. Secretly Dionysus— the god of wine, revelry, and vegetation—Diane returns to Earth to rally followers for an environmental revolution. Four mortal women are in dire need of a bacchanalian catharsis, and this clique of New Jersey housewives won’t know what hit them when Hurricane Diane makes landfall. Directed by Associate Producing Director Molly Rosa Houlahan and featuring Company Artists Teri Lamm (Lettie, The Vinegar Tree) and Julianna Zinkel (The Vinegar Tree, The Harassment of Iris Malloy), this hilarious parable of climate reckoning and liberation is “the perfect storm of timely tragicomedy” (NY Times).
