Exhumed Films Presents BLACK BELT THEATRE on 16mm at the Colonial Theatre
About
Exhumed Films and the Colonial Theatre team up for Black Belt Theatre, a triple feature of martial arts madness as seen on TV, projected from 16mm broadcast film prints, on Saturday, April 4, 2026!
Hosted by These Fists Break Bricks authors Grady Hendrix and Chris Poggiali, we’re diving fist-first into the wild world of kung fu mayhem that once rattled television sets across the country on Saturday afternoons in the ’80s. Get ready for flying feet, outrageous villains, and wall-to-wall, bone-crunching, English-dubbed action delivered straight from the analog era!
See Gordon Liu in THE LEGENDARY WEAPONS OF CHINA (1983), Billy Chong in JADE CLAW (1979), and the Venoms Gang in MASKED AVENGERS (1981), all from beautiful 16mm prints, with kung fu movie TV spots preceding each film!
Grady Hendrix and Chris Poggiali will introduce the films and sign copies of their book, These Fists Break Bricks.
