Exhumed Films Presents Stephen King’s The Stand with Mick Garris
About
Exhumed Films and the Colonial Theatre present Stephen King’s THE STAND, the four part blockbuster ABC miniseries event of ‘94, on Saturday, February 8th, with director Mick Garris live and in person!
Experience Stephen King’s ultimate apocalyptic tale of good vs. evil, starring Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald and Jamey Sheridan, in a way you’ve never seen it before — on the big screen, as one epic marathon event!
Mick Garris, who directed CRITTERS 2 and PSYCHO IV, is best known for SLEEPWALKERS, the first Stephen King work written for the screen, and other King adaptations including THE SHINING, RIDING THE BULLET, DESPERATION and BAG OF BONES. Garris also created Showtime’s MASTERS OF HORROR television series which ran for two seasons from 2005-2007 as well as Disney’s perennial fan favorite HOCUS POCUS.
We’ve been fans of Mick Garris since his early days as a horror fan and journalist covering the works of John Carpenter, David Cronenberg, Joe Dante, and others, and we’re extremely excited to bring him out for this rare screening! Garris will be meeting fans, signing autographs (at no charge!), introducing the film, and participating in a post-show audience Q&A.
The complete 6-hour, four-part miniseries will be screened digitally, with three brief intermissions, at the end of each part.
Doors open at 2 pm; introduction and showtime at 3 pm.
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $25 for members.
