Our 3rd Annual Charity Screening hosted by Grady Craig will showcase independent feature film Paradise City, directed by the legendary Chuck Russell, starring John Travolta and Bruce Willis. Following the film, Chuck will invite the audience to participate in a live, virtual Q&A. Through this event, audiences are supporting Hobart’s Run and the Colonial Theatre. Hobart’s Run is a non-profit whose mission is to create a clean and safe community; foster inclusivity; provide incentives for home ownership and property pride; and generate quality business development. The Colonial Theatre’s mission is to nurture community by celebrating the power of film and the performing arts to entertain, inform, and reveal meaning. This screening is a way of giving back to the entrepreneurial and artistic communities in the area.
SYNOPSIS
When bounty hunter Ian Swan (Bruce Willis) is shot and presumed dead after disappearing in Maui waters, Swan’s son Ryan, his ex-partner, and a local detective set out to find his killers. After being threatened by a ruthless power broker, it appears Ryan and his team are out of options — until an excursion to the closely guarded island community of Paradise City unites them with an unforeseen ally.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Chuck Russell is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer, best known for his genre films. He is best known for directing the films A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Blob (1988), The Mask, Eraser, and The Scorpion King.
