    Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore) sends the road comedy careening spectacularly off course in this gleefully disreputable tale of bad decisions and even worse luck. Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. star as two rock-bottom, minimum-wage drivers hired to transport a wealthy teenage troublemaker (Mason Thames) to rehab, only for the supposedly straightforward assignment to spiral into a cross-country gauntlet of drugs, crime, violence, and increasingly bizarre detours. Originally unveiled at Sundance under the considerably less polite title The Shitheads, Idiots pairs Blair’s taste for sudden, volatile mayhem with a surprisingly melancholy streak and a sharp eye for the absurdities of class privilege. Rude, reckless, and proudly committed to its collection of spectacularly poor choices, Idiots gives the buddy road movie a much-needed dose of anarchy.
