The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, which is the location of the iconic movie theater scene from the original The Blob with Steve McQueen, will soon host a horror-than that celebrates the work of genre actor Jeffrey Combs. This all comes courtesy of Exhumed Films, the cinematic purveyors of wonderfully weird programming in the greater Philadelphia area. For the unbeknownst — if there’s anyone left in this category — Combs is the successful actor behind such classics as Re-Animator, Bride of Re-Animator, Castle Freak, The Frighteners and From Beyond, all of which will be screened at the special event, which takes place Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22.

Dubbed Beyond Re-Animator: A Jeffrey Combs Retrospective, the festival also includes rare screenings of The Black Cat, Love and a .45, Fortress and Doctor Mordrid. Combs will also be on hand to sign autographs, pose for photos and answer questions from audience members. This should definitely be a treat for horror aficionados. Heck, even Trekkies and Trekkers will be pleased because Combs touches that fandom, too, with his memorable roles in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise.

General admission tickets are on sale now and include admission to the movies on a given day, plus a Combs Q&A. There will also be merchandise and raffles available. That’s not a bad deal for $30 (Friday) and $50 (Saturday). The price is higher on Saturday because it’s an all-day event.

There’s also a VIP package, which comes with a general admission ticket, plus a signed event poster and the ability to purchase more autographs from Combs himself. This is a special note: The actor will only sign for VIP ticket holders, so prospective purchasers should keep that in mind when choosing a ticket level. These VIP passes go for $65 (Friday) and $85 (Saturday).

The final level is the Re-Animated VIP, which includes everything in the standard VIP package, plus early entry for the best seats in the house and a super-cool photo op with Combs. The Exhumed Films folks promise an extremely unique photo op (think of Combs’ role in Re-Animator for inspiration). These passes go for $100 (Friday) and $120 (Saturday). Colonial Theatre members receive $10 discounts on any ticket purchased.

Combs is coming to eastern Pennsylvania. Genre fans take note.
